Electric Toothbrush That is Most Recommended by Dentists

It’s now proven, beyond doubt, that electric toothbrushes are more powerful than manual ones, and it’s why these electronic devices are now recommended by dentists and dental professionals from the top of the industry.

But with the range of electric toothbrushes so vast – and growing, how do you choose which ones are rated by professional dentists and which ones should be avoided?

By far, Oral-B electric toothbrushes are the best selling and boast the most awards. They’re most recommended by dentists according to a survey of dentists conducted globally for the P&G electric toothbrush. Additionally, oscillating brush heads, which are what Oral-B employs, have been demonstrated to be somewhat better than Sonic toothbrushes.

These round brush heads, modelled after those used by dentists, and the powerful yet delicate micro-vibrations, combine to give you a dentist-level clean every day.

Oral-B electric toothbrushes have the ADA Seal of Acceptance and are Oral Health Foundation approved

In addition to receiving the ADA Seal of Acceptance, the Oral-B iO won the Red Dot Award 2020 for best product design in recognition of its cutting-edge technology, well-considered functionality, and dynamic cleaning performance. Furthermore, this toothbrush received the Best of Beauty Breakthrough award, making it the most awarded toothbrush of 2020.

Oral Health Founded Approved Toothbrushes

The Oral Health Foundation assesses public oral health care products to verify sure that the manufacturer’s claims are legitimate and supported by clinical research.

Giving you a higher level of comfort and trust that the products you purchase live up to their claims is the main goal of our accreditation programme.

All product claims are carefully examined by our impartial team of dental specialists to ensure that they are true and supported by solid scientific research.

They have more than 20 years of experience assisting the dentistry community and consumers in making educated decisions about the oral care items they purchase. Through acknowledgement of the charity’s “Approved Product” Smile Logo, accreditation enables consumers to identify trusted toothbrushes before buying.

Oral B ADA Dentists Award

For nearly 60 years, Oral-B has set the standard for oral hygiene. They have the distinction of being the first electric toothbrush brand to be recommended by the American Dental Association. This prestigious award has been granted to each model of the Oral-B oscillating range.

Having advice from those who establish dental health norms is useful while shopping for a new electric toothbrush. If you want to know that Oral-B is safe and effective enough to be recommended by dentists, look no further than the ADA’s seal of approval.

The Value of ADA Approval

In 1931, the ADA established its Seal of Acceptance Program to assist customers in locating reliable oral health care items. That’s great news for Oral-B since it implies our approved electric toothbrushes are safe, effective, and up to ADA standards for removing plaque and reducing the risk of gingivitis.

In the first electric toothbrush to receive ADA approval, Oral-B created an oscillating, rotating, and pulsating movement.

The electric toothbrushes made by Oral-B, which are now ADA-approved, have passed all of the tests necessary to earn that distinction. Our toothbrushes had to go through a battery of ADA Laboratory testing and comply with ANSI and ADA dental standards as part of this process.

Science Backing Electric Toothbrushes

Results from a major study show that electric toothbrushes thoroughly clean teeth and gums, far outperforming their manual counterparts.

Researchers have observed that compared to individuals who use manual toothbrushes, those who use electric toothbrushes have lower tooth decay and a higher rate of tooth retention. They also showed healthier gums and better overall oral health.

The study, which compared the effectiveness of electric and manual brushing, took 11 years to carry out and is the longest-running study in its field [1].

Dr. Nigel Carter OBE, and chief executive of the Oral Health Foundation, thinks this study confirms the findings of earlier, smaller investigations into the benefits of going electric.

Dr Nigel Carter, said – quote – “Health experts have been speaking about the benefits of electric toothbrushes for many years. This latest piece of evidence is one of the strongest and clearest yet – electric toothbrushes are better for our oral health. Electric toothbrushes, especially those with heads that rotate in both directions, or ‘oscillating’ heads, are really effective at removing plaque. This helps keep tooth decay and gum disease at bay.”

“As the science behind the advantages of electric toothbrushes is mounting, the decision whether to invest in one becomes much easier.”

The Oral B electric toothbrush line has won recognition and acclaim from consumers and more importantly – dental professionals, from many countries around the world, so you can’t go wrong in making the switch to one of these award-winning toothbrushes.
